Donate your time to make a difference in your neighborhood

This group of volunteers donated time and passed out cleaning supplies at Doria in Irvine.

Volunteering is a great way to help Jamboree help others. Time donated by Jamboree volunteers furthers our mission to strengthen communities and transform lives. We offer a number of ways for individuals and groups, like the above pictured Corona del Mar High School football team members, to engage with neighborhoods – from Sacramento to L.A., Orange County to San Diego.

Current volunteer opportunities

If you made a new year’s resolution to give back by helping others, here are some immediate ways you can serve.

  • Want to volunteer to help with kids? We have great opportunities to tutor and mentor children in our after-school programs with elementary and secondary students.
  • Volunteer to teach ESL classes at our Orange County properties in Irvine, Brea and San Clemente.
  • Volunteer in L.A. to help with fitness, arts and crafts, teach ESL, or other activities for adults and active seniors at our community center for The Exchange at El Monte. Center hours are Monday through Thursday, 9am-1pm.

Deliver hope throughout the year

Jamboree looks for individuals and companies to make donations towards the purchase of such things as household cleaning supplies for families, personal hygiene kits for formerly homeless residents, back-to-school backpacks and supplies for students, gift bags for veterans, holiday poinsettias for seniors, and more. Donations can be made on the Jamboree Give Center.

Other in-kind donations include art supplies, books, sporting equipment, technology, and even products and services like oral hygiene products and health clinics at Jamboree properties from companies like Dr. Brite.

To make arrangements, contact Marcy Finamore. For donations with a value over $5,000, please contact Marcy Finamore at 949-263-8676.

Ongoing volunteer opportunities

  • Current students: If you’re a student, you can earn community service hours when you volunteer with us during the summer or whenever you’re home on a break. Or, find a location near your school where you can help create healthy communities.
  • High schools, colleges, universities: Our growing network of eight high schools and more than 10 colleges and universities – including community colleges, UC, and Cal State schools statewide to campuses on the east coast – provide students with hands-on ways to make local communities a better place to live. Academic internship opportunities are available with after-school programs, as well as corporate placement in Business Development, Project and Asset Management, Marketing Communications, and much more.
  • Professionals: Get involved with our after-school programs on a regular basis. If you have limited availability, join us by serving at one of our one-day events.
  • Companies: Serve together with other staff or a team of your colleagues. Find out how you can partner with us to make a difference in your local neighborhood. It's a great way to get your name in front of your neighbors.
